I’ve been working with Autodesk Fusion since day one — and even though I’ve worked with other big CAM software packages, Fusion is still my favorite.
The big factor
The obvious factor is pricing. Compared to anything else that’s competitive in quality and ease of use, nothing comes close.
Fusion just works. It’s not perfect and not niche, but for everything up to serious 5-axis, Swiss turning, or mill-turn, nothing really beats Fusion.
The community behind Fusion
The smart move from Autodesk was making it free for home users for years — that built a big community around it.
That makes info easier to find and problems easier to solve.
